Every Student will be required to write two seminars in an Academic Session, Alist of topics for the Seminars will prepared by the faculty of History Deptt. At the beginning of session. The topic will perta into any aspect of Indian History.
Theory and method of History ( PaperI)
Note: atleast ten questions shall be set in the paper spread over the entire syllabus more or less proportionate lyto of which candidates, shalle required to attempt any five. All questions shall carry equal marks.

Theories of History. History and allied disciplines. The historical method. Causationin History. Generation in History: role of individual in History. Principles of Historical Criticsim. Facts in History. Historical evidence Classification of source of History. Logical Processes in History. Authenticity of Source. Interpretation of resources. Reappraisals in History. Objectivity in History.
( b) Techniques and Methods of Research: Choice of a subject. Collection of Material. Takingofnotes. Scissors and paste method;
Presenting the evidence. Chapterisation. Documentation and footnotes. From Preliminary draftt of in aldraft Bibliography. Preparing them anuscript for press. Proof Reading and Indexing.
